Rockaway Township Water System Customers
In response to the severe warm weather and reduction of water levels in the aquifers. Rockaway Township has implemented the following Level 1 Enhanced Aquifer Drought Restrictions.
Rockaway Township Residents may only utilize outdoor lawn sprinklers as follows:
• Houses with ODD numbers may use outdoor lawn sprinklers on the ODD DAY of the month.
• Houses with EVEN numbers may use outdoor lawn sprinklers on the EVEN DAY of the month.
• Both ODD and EVEN houses may only use outdoor lawn sprinklers between the hours of 6:00am – 8:00am and 5:00pm – 7:00pm on the allowed day.
• NO use of outdoor lawn sprinklers is allowed on Sundays, Holidays and on the 31st. day of any month.
• Watering is not to exceed 30 minutes per area watered on any one day.
We ask that all water utility costumers help conserve our water by adhering to the restrictions allowing our wells to rest and the aquifer to replenish.
