PSE&G has advised the township that until 7/31/2018, Nelson Tree Service (a private contractor) will be conducting vegetation control measures throughout Rockaway Township. The contractor has been authorized to remove all trees that have the ability to mature over 3 feet in height in the wire zone (land located directly under the widest portion of the transmission line conductors. Vegetation in the wire zone will be managed to promote grasses and low-growing plant communities to obtain a meadow effect where possible. Where possible, PSE&G will side tree tree branches originating from outside the right of way that hang over or cross onto transmission right of ways.

If you have questions or concerns, please telephone Larry Porch, Nelson Tree Service, at 732-496-5921 during the day. Or, you may contact PSE&G Transmission Vegetation Management Department at 732-289-5292.
