In preparation for the upcoming winter storm the DPW would like to offer a few friendly reminders:
- Please park all vehicles off the road so snow plows can effectively clear snow from all travel portions of the road, and allow for emergency vehicles to get through should an emergency arise.
- Please avoid traveling on the roads in inclement weather, unless absolutely necessary.
- Please know that all roads will be plowed systematically, you do not have to call the department in order to have your road plowed. Streets are plowed one lane in ether direction to keep roads open during snow events, they will be plowed back fully after the snow has ceased to fall.
- Please do not shovel snow INTO the road.
- Please check the welfare of your elderly neighbors.
- Should you lose power, please call the JCP&L to report your outage and for power restoration updates at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877).
