Mayor Michael Dachisen and the Rockaway Township Council are pleased to announce a seedling distribution at the McVeigh Recycling Yard on May 7th. Tree seedlings are provided by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection through the New Jersey Tree Recovery campaign. The New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign works to replace trees lost through weather events, like superstorm Sandy. Seedlings with be made available from 9AM to 12PM at the Rockaway Township McVeigh Recycling yard (65 Mt. Hope Road, Rockaway NJ 07866) on May 7th, 2016. Any resident of New Jersey is eligible to receive seedlings; there is a limit of 5 per resident. Seedling species is unknown at this time, although the trees are to be climate appropriate.
