Due to the recent increase in regional COVID-19 cases and out of an abundance of caution, Mayor Puzio has closed Rockaway Township’s parks and recreational areas to activities that are not sanctioned by the Township, effective Tuesday, November 10, 2020. These activities include pickup games and practices (i.e., informal basketball, soccer or baseball games), the use of playgrounds, and team sports that are not under the supervision of Township-recognized coaches.
Passive recreation activities (i.e., walking paths, hiking trails, shoreline fishing), permitted events and Township-endorsed organized sports are permitted.
