The 3 ways you can vote in the upcoming General Election:

Vote-by-Mail Ballot: Registered voters can apply for a vote my mail ballot by following the instructions found at or contacting the Morris County Clerk at 973-285-6066. Vote-by-Mail applications are also available in the Municipal Clerk’s office located at the Municipal Building, 65. Mt. Hope Rd.


Once you have received your Vote-by-Mail ballot, you can vote and return your ballot one of the following ways:

Mail: Your vote-by-mail ballot MUST be postmarked on or before 8:00pm on November 2nd and be received by Morris County’s Board of Elections on or before November 8th.

Secure Ballot Drop Box: Place your vote-by-mail ballot in one of Morris County’s 30 secure drop boxes by 8:00pm on November 2nd. Drop box locations are provided below.

Board of Elections Office: Deliver your vote-by-mail ballot in person to the Morris County Board of Elections Office by 8:00pm on November 2nd, located at 10 Court St., 2nd Floor, Morristown. You can contact the Board of Elections at 973-285-6715 or

*NOTE: Vote-by-mail ballots CANNOT be returned to your early voting location or polling place.


In-Person Early Voting: This new option enables registered voters to cast their ballot in person, using a voting machine, during a nine-day period prior to Election Day. You can now choose to vote, in person, when it’s most convenient for your schedule. Morris County is using the new ExpressVote Excel voting machine at early voting centers. No matter where you live in the county, you can vote your specific ballot at any of Morris County’s 7 designated in-person early voting locations. In-person early voting locations will be open Saturday, October 23rd through Sunday, October 31st. Hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10:00am to 8:00pm and Sunday, 10:00am to 6:00pm. Early voting locations are provided below.

At your Polling Place on Election Day: Vote in-person at your polling place, from 6:00am to 8:00pm on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2nd. Accommodations will be made for voters with disabilities. Morris County voters will vote on the Sequoia Advantage voting machine at the polls.
