. America’s resolve from that day and all the days since demonstrates the strength of our people. As a nation we will never forget our fellow Americans who lost everything on that day along with their families who suffered agonizing sorrow. September 11, 2001 brought such grief to our Nation having lost family, friends and neighbors. Even the Township could not escape direct heartache that fell upon all of us that day and suffered several losses from our own community.
Today, we remember the heroism of so many Police, EMS, and Firefighters lost on that day. Not only were they doing what they did best, they did so helping and protecting the people they served. We remember those brave Americans on Flight 93 that saved so many others by standing united and confronting evil. We remember in the aftermath, our Nation stood strong, aided those who lost so much, and focused on healing. So many of us came together at Ground Zero to search and hope for life in the rumble while America grieved for our lost brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, husbands and wives.
September 11, 2001 exemplified the courage, dedication and resolve of our nation during its darkest hour. Since that day, we let the world know America’s philosophy and determination for free-expression, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, right to bear arms and human rights will neither falter nor be compromised, no matter what comes our way. Take a moment to reflect on the lost we endured that day. Please say prayers for those families in and out of our community missing their loved ones caused by the events of that day and to all of our Services men and women preserving their memories by letting the world know “We will Never Forget”.
