How does the tax collector handle delinquencies?
The collector sends out a delinquent notice at least once a month for bills not paid. Please be advised that interest cannot be waived once a payment is delinquent. The interest rate is 8% on the first $1,500.00 of the delinquency and 18% on the balance until the account is paid in full.

The collector holds an annual tax sale (places a lien) to collect prior year delinquencies, interest and fees.
