How do I dispose of paint?
Once dried out LATEX (water based) paint can be put in with your regular household trash. To speed up the drying process you may want to remove the lid and add sand or kitty litter and allow to dry for a few days. Once completely dried out you may deposit it in your trash. For Oil Based paints and stains please contact the Morris County Hazardous Household Waste Facility in Mount Olive at 973-829-8006 or visit Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority.
